U.S. Plastics Pact
Trinetics Group has a passion for helping save the planet. As a company who works with plastic every day, we are dedicated to championing sustainable processes. Our employees, customers, and partners are key in helping Trinetics Group achieve success in sustainability. Currently, according to Plastic Energy.com, 40% of all plastics used in packaging but only 14% of plastic is currently recycled, and more than eight million tons of plastics ends up in our oceans.
Trinetics recognizes the U.S. Plastics Pact is an ambitious initiative to unify diverse public-private stakeholders across the plastics value chain to rethink the way we design, use, and reuse plastics, to create a path toward a circular economy for plastic in America.
Trinetics recognizes the U.S. Plastics Pact, and we understand its four targets:
- Define a list of packaging to be designated as problematic or unnecessary by 2021 and take measures to eliminate them by 2025.
- By 2025, all plastic packaging is 100% reusable, recyclable, or compostable.
- By 2025, undertake ambitious actions to effectively recycle or compost 50% of plastic packaging.
- By 2025, the average recycled content or responsibly sourced bio-based content in plastic packaging will be 30%.
